New Ranger Danger Song: Tiny Spoons

Last night Ranger Danger released their new single Tiny Spoons on youtube and their band page on facebook check it out

Bad Veins w/ In Silent Movies, The Ridges

my first contribution for I Am Tuned Up is up. It's a concert review for three bands I was completely new to. Read it here: http://iamtunedup.com/2013/05/20/concert-review-photography-bad-veins-w-in-silent-movies-the-ridges/

And here's some pics from the night

To Kill A Monster, Cross Solider, Shallow Side

I'm going a little out of order concert wise, because there's a bit more important new additions.

Last Saturday I went to Scarlet and Grey Cafe for my first show seeing To Kill A Monster without Ranger Danger. It was a fun and different change. I also started up a business deal with the guys that I'm excited about. More details later.

The show was the second night of  the after party for Rock On The Range. Starting off with Cross Solider, a metal band, which in Scarlet and Grey's obnoxiously loud sound system, is a bit painful to listen to. Also not a huge fan of metal. Next was To Kill A Monster, who were great as always. Even after Joey forgot the words to a song. I really love their new songs and I'm looking forward to their recordings of them. Lastly was a band I had never heard of before but everyone was telling me how awesome they are, Shallow Side. And... they were. They were badass. When I get some money their album is the first on my list.

It's Offical!

Jon Grubbs is now the new lead singer of Live My Last. Pretty exciting him. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it right now. I'm going to have to hear it before I have an option.

Columbus Rocks the Cure Rock & Roll Fashion Show

Saturday, Ace of Cups held the rock/fashion show for Rocks For The Cure, an origination helping bring the end of breast cancer. The night had four bands of different styles and a collection down the runway inspired by that style. First was Kid Runner for indie pop, then The Tommyguns for rockabilly, followed by The Up All Nights for glam rock, and finally Black Eyed Betty for grand finale. I'll be honest because I think nobody really reads like blog. The music was all good and fine but I wasn't fond of the fashion. I don't like what is often seen as 'high fashion'. I think usually the outfits themselves are ugly, they don't make anything for people  who aren't tall and skinny, and off the runway who's going to wear any of this?! I understand my opion may not be the best to look at his since my wardrobe is tee shirts and jeans but I still see what's out there in magazines and tv and think, yeah that looks good on her/him but what about someone like me who's short and rounded?
Ok I'm just going to end this now before I might piss people off. Bands were great, huge turn out, heres some pics of Tommygun and Up All Nights
